This Diversity and Inclusion Policy was implemented upon the recommendation of Gibney’s Management Committee and the unanimous vote of the partnership. As a result, it is embraced by the firm’s leadership. To ensure the continued success of our diversity efforts, Gibney formed a Diversity & Inclusion Committee comprised of partners, associates, and professional staff and charged it with the task of developing and carrying out a diversity action plan.

Access to Meaningful Work
Gibney carefully tracks associate development and monitors access to meaningful work assignments and client exposure, ensuring that both opportunities are equally available to all associates. The firm’s partner/associate ratio creates many opportunities for early responsibility on a variety of matters. All of Gibney’s associates receive meaningful feedback through an annual review each year. Partners provide informal feedback on an ongoing basis. In addition, Gibney has established an Associates Committee which, among other things, gives voice to associates’ interests in further training, career development, work opportunities, and firm culture.
The firm’s practice group leaders are charged with fostering the success of diverse lawyers within each of the practice groups by ensuring that opportunities are equally available to all attorneys.
