Wm. Lee Kinnally, Jr.

Lee litigates in federal and state courts, administrative law tribunals and arbitration and mediation venues throughout the U.S.  He has tried both jury and non-jury cases and handled appeals in the federal and state courts. Lee focuses on commercial litigation, trials, arbitrations, mediations and appeals.

His approach to problem solving includes a thorough knowledge of each clients’ businesses, a strategy tailored to solve their problems, and a close working relationship with our clients to ensure that their objectives are fulfilled and their rights are protected.

Experience

  • Represented a publisher in defeating breach of contract, copyright infringement and unfair competition claims
  • Obtained a defense jury verdict in a fraud case brought against one of the world’s largest cosmetic companies
  • Negotiated a favorable settlement on behalf of Major League Baseball Properties in a trademark infringement suit with a trading card company
  • Represented limited partners in a series of suits against general partners alleging fraud, breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty and obtained a favorable settlement for the limited partners
  • In an arbitration on behalf of a limited partner against a managing agent of numerous Manhattan office buildings, settled claims for various post-closing adjustments after the cross-examination of the managing agent
  • Represented one of the largest transportation companies in the country and negotiated a settlement for a nominal amount of a suit alleging, among other claims, RICO, conspiracy to monopolize and restrain trade, harassment, interference with prospective economic advantage and violation of civil rights
  • Represented heirs in a multi-million dollar litigation in New York County Surrogate’s Court involving an international probate proceeding

  • Special Master to the Appellate Division, First Department of the New York Supreme Court
  • In recognition of his over 29 years of public service to the Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, a new Village park on the Hudson River was designed and dedicated as Kinnally Cove
