Nicolo Rivolta’s practice focuses on U.S. business immigration. Mr. Rivolta provides long-term strategy planning to foreign nationals and helps them understand our nation’s complex immigration laws.
Mr. Rivolta works with a diverse set of employers, from startups and small businesses to multinational corporations. He represents clients across a broad range of industries, including biotechnology, scientific publishing, engineering, and arts and enterntainment.
Mr. Rivolta has been very succesfull in obtaining favorable results representing clients in employment-based immigrant visas, including petitions for individuals of Extraordinary Ability in the Sciences as well as Outstanding Researchers. He has experience in employment-based nonimmigrant visas, including H-1B, TN, J-1 and O-1. With a unique combination of both personal and professional experience, Mr. Rivolta is also knowledgable in the intricate regulations and unwritten best practices revolving around Curricular and Optional Practical Training, STEM and non-STEM, for international students in F-1 status.
Originally from Milan, Italy, Mr. Rivolta personally understands the obstancles and frustrations involved in navigating our convoluted immigration system. Now a resident of San Francisco, Mr. Rivolta likes to spend his free time snowboarding in the Sierras or surfing the Pacific Ocean.
While in law school, Mr. Rivolta served as an intern for a local non-profit helping survivors of domestic abuse in securing legal status through U and T visa applications as well as Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)-based immigrant visa applications.
