Filomena Lepore’s practice focuses on counseling U.S. businesses of various sizes on the development and implementation of immigration compliance programs including the attainment of a wide range of visa petitions to facilitate long and short-term work assignments of specialized personnel, professional workers, managers, and executives. She advises corporate clients on ongoing developments in immigration policy and worksite enforcement and is particularly experienced in the preparation of PERM labor certification applications before the U.S. Department of Labor. She is also experienced in advising individuals in the areas of family-based immigration, citizenship and naturalization and has represented entrepreneurs, artists, scientists and medical doctors in the acquisition and retention of U.S. immigration benefits.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lepore has served a variety of industries including International Financial Services, Information Technology, Healthcare, Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical, Film and Entertainment, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Energy, Sports and Food and Beverage.
Ms. Lepore has also provided pro bono representation to indigent foreign nationals including a victim of human trafficking, an abandoned juvenile, an asylum applicant, a victim of domestic violence, and several deportees who risked separation from U.S. citizen family members. She regularly volunteers her legal services to Street Soccer USA, The Safe Passage Project and The Waterfront Project.
Prior to joining Gibney, Ms. Lepore worked for a boutique immigration practice in Philadelphia, PA. During law school, she was a member of the Law Review and worked with the U.S. Department of State in Naples, Italy.
