Sydney St. Pierre

Sydney focuses her practice in U.S. immigration and nationality law, counseling corporate and individual clients in obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based visas. She supports clients throughout the preparation and filing of various petitions across a variety of industries, with a special focus on multinational corporations within the financial services sector. Sydney also assists clients throughout the PERM labor certification process. She is experienced with strategizing for and drafting responses to Requests for Evidence from USCIS.

Sydney has represented individuals seeking Asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, both affirmatively and in removal defense.

Community Involvement

During law school, Sydney volunteered as an Intern with Safe Passage Project, where she provided legal services to unaccompanied minors seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status and asylum. She participated in her law school’s Immigrant & Non-Citizen Rights Clinic, representing clients seeking asylum. She served as a Fellow with the Red Hook Community Justice Center to accommodate immigrant residents in applying for Section 8 housing, as well as connecting tenants to critical services such as legal assistance, counseling, and victim services. She worked with New Orleans Catholic Charities Immigration and Refugee Services to provide job readiness workshops for refugee clients who recently arrived to the United States. Sydney participates in CUNY Citizenship Now! clinics to assist with naturalization applications, along with other initiatives in the New York area.
