Professional Profile

Survi Parvatiyar is involved in assisting large multinational financial services clients, small businesses, and entrepeneurs in the preparation of immigrant and nonimmigrant employment-based visa petitions.  In addition, Ms. Parvatiyar has extensive experience in preparing non-immigrant and immigrant petitions for professionals in the healthcare, academic, arts/entertainment, and IT industries.  She is equally experienced in assisting individuals seeking permanent residence through family-based petitions, maintaining permanent residence, and acquiring U.S. citizenship.  Ms. Parvatiyar prepares or has previous experiencing preparing H-1B, L-1A, L-1B, O-1, O-2, TN, E-1, E-2, J-1, P-1, P-3 and E-3 visa petitions.  She has also prepared J1 waiver petitions based on exceptional hardship, persecution, no objection, & asylum.  Ms. Parvatiyar has considerable experience in preparing a range of employment-based immigrant visas petitions, including EB-1 extraordinary ability, EB-1 outstanding researcher, EB-1 multinational manager, and EB-2 national interest waiver petitions. She has also guided clients through the PERM labor certification process, and EB-2 and EB-3 green card applications based on an approved labor certification.

Professional and Community Involvement

Ms. Parvatiyar is active in the pro bono community, including representing victims of domestic violence, serving on the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s committee for organizing New York City’s annual Citizenship Day event, and providing free consultations at New York City Immigrant Advocacy Initiative clinics.

Awards and Recognition

While in law school, Ms. Parvatiyar served as an Articles Editor for the international Human Rights Quarterly journal and was selected as a Fellow to the Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights.  She additionally was awarded the National Lawyers Guild Haywood Burns Fellowship to work with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project.  Upon graduation, Ms. Parvatiyar was presented with the National Lawyers Guild CB King Award.
